Power Inductor Parameters Explained

This Würth Elektronik webinar explains key power inductor parameters and how they are impacted by different constructions, core materials, and shapes.

Power inductors are found in nearly all switch mode power supply topologies.

In this webinar, we will explain the differences in core materials and core shapes, as well as the determination of the main parameters like rated current and saturation current.

Further, we will investigate inductor losses and how they are assessed. The selection of power inductors will be demonstrated using the online tool REDEXPERT®.
