QML-38535 is a vital standard in the aerospace and defense sectors, ensuring the reliability and durability of microcircuits used in critical applications. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) oversees this qualification process, guaranteeing that components meet stringent performance and quality criteria. Texas Instruments has recently made significant advancements by introducing the first QML-P flow plastic microcircuits, marking a notable milestone in the QML-38535 standard.

Understanding QML-P Flow

The QML-P flow represents a rigorous qualification process, ensuring plastic-encapsulated microcircuits withstand harsh space conditions. This advancement is crucial as it offers a cost-effective and reliable alternative to traditional hermetic packaging without compromising performance.

Current components in QML-P Flow

All the following components are radiation-hardened and SEE-characterized.

TPS7H3302-SP: High-Current LDO Voltage Regulator

The TPS7H3302-SP is a radiation-hardened double data rate (DDR) 3-A termination regulator with a built-in VTTREF buffer. It provides a complete, compact, low-noise solution for space DDR termination applications, such as single-board computers, solid-state recorders, and payload processing.
