The changes in issue 46 of EUROPEAN PREFERRED PARTS LISTS (EPPL) are included in the DCR 1551 and detailed here in below:
Removal:
- Fuji Electric N-channel and P-channel MOSFET qualified under JAXA QPL have been removed from EPPL. These components are no longer available because the manufacturer has stopped its manufacturing line of Rad Hard MOSFETs.
Editorial:
- Tateyama Kagaku metal glaze thick film resistor included in EPPL part 1, and JAXA qualified has updated its case size from 1216 to 1206.
- GH25-10, 0.25 μm GaN HEMT MMIC process for High Power amplifiers up to 20GHz (AlGaN/GaN on SiC), from UMS has updated its Note 7 with information on humidity test performed in an open package environment.
About EUROPEAN PREFERRED PARTS LIST (EPPL)
The ESCC Executive publishes a list of components and technologies that would be useful to space hardware manufacturers and projects in selecting EEE components.
Eligible components for listing in the EPPL are all EEE component categories as defined in ECSS-Q-ST-60. In addition, the following may also be listed in the EPPL: a semiconductor die, semiconductor foundry processes, hybrid assembly processes, ESCC Capability Approvals, and ESCC Technology Flow approvals.
The rules for establishing the list are defined in ESCC 12300. The EPPL is made up of two parts:
- Part 1: fully qualified or evaluated components to recognized space standards (e.g., ESCC), giving full or high confidence for space usage.
- Part 2: The potential capability to satisfy space application requirements has been demonstrated but has not yet achieved space qualification.
